Gary has spent over 25 years working on financial examinations, bankruptcies and restructurings - principally related to companies in financial distress or undergoing a purchase/sale transaction.  Gary has worked on a variety of cases ranging from high profile cases  - such as Macy's - to locally owned family businesses.  Gary has extensive experience in taking management positions with financially distressed companies and restructuring the operations to generate profitable results.  Through his extensive work with companies in Chapter 11 and other financially distressed firms, Gary is able to market and sell the companies without the added delay, inefficiency and cost of engaging multiple advisers and consultants.  It is through this approach - creating value through improved operations and monetizing value through an investment transaction - that has generated such positive results for RFS's clients.

Gary presently serves as the Trustee on several Chapter 11 cases in Tennessee.  Gary has also provided expert witness testimony in Federal Bankruptcy Courts in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Illinois.  Mr. Murphey is one of approximately 300 Certified Turnaround Professionals and is also Certified Public Accountant.

Missy has over sixteen years post graduate experience concentrated in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, audit, bankruptcy proceeding and process improvement.  Missy is an independent Certified Public Accountant assisting various clients in its operations including specializing in the development process and system improvements, cost saving measures and product profitability. of procedures including internal controls and process efficiencies, identification of cost savings measures, staff training and compliance with business and regulatory agencies.  

Prior to her to joining RFS, Missy served as Corporate Controller for a $500 million health care company with 7,500 employees.  She was responsible for the accounting and financial activities as well as determining and implementing process and financial efficiencies.  During Missy's tenure, the Company more than tripled its revenue base.  Missy was directly responsible for integrating new contracts and acquisitions into the current financial and accounting system.  Previously, Missy was an Auditor with Price Waterhouse LLP in Fort Lauderdale, Florida specializing in large publicly held clients.

Cecilia brings over 15 years of business accounting and management experience.  As Chief Financial Officer for many clients, Cecilia is responsible for directing and coordinating the company's financial affairs including major long-term and short-term economic objectives, establishing policies for the company, and recommendations to shareholders to obtain optimum efficiency and reduce costs. Cecilia also prepares budgets, reports, and financial forecasts that outline the company's financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and future operations. During pre / post-bankruptcy filing, Cecilia has compiled data and reports as requested by attorneys, creditors, and the US Trustee's Office. When needed, Cecilia has performed thorough analysis and audits of the organizations in order to establish interdepartmental processes and procedures that result in streamlined information exchange and recordkeeping.

Cecilia has helped numerous companies whose financial records were plagued with errors and inefficiencies achieve accurate financial reports and re-establish investor and employee confidence in the company. Cecilia is not only experienced in all areas of general accounting functions, she is also skilled in financial audit, process audit, internal controls design, and database management as it pertains to all areas of an organization.
